An excellent introduction to the "Scottish links" look of the newest addition to Otter Creek. Lots of mammoth bunkers, mounds, and large greens are the key features of this course. Many characteristics like guarded landing zones and sloping greens from the original 18 holes also show up. This hole features the best of both worlds. A slight dogleg left, which is guarded by a fairway bunker at the landing zone. The large green is inviting but needs a well placed shot to avoid the front bunkers. A terraced green with a back to front slope may well remind you of the original course.

159 Yards from Blue tees
195 Yards from Gold tees
Handicap - 7

Perhaps the prettiest setting on the east course , this hole could easily be set on the original 18. A par three bordered by Otter Creek and trees on the right and a bunker as large as the green itself guards the left side of the green. A large terraced green requires the traditional Otter Creek putting skill.

3 eastHole #3

270 Yards from White tees
320 Yards from Blue tees
340 Yards from Gold tees
Handicap - 6

From the tee bed, this hole is deceiving. A large landing zone allows for a missed shot to still be in play. However, this sets up your challenge. Do you go for the green over the pond? Or play it safe and go for the small landing zone in front of the green? An overclubbed shot will bring the mounds surrrounding the backside of the green into play. Decision Time! Once on the green, you find a slight break towards the pond.

4 eastHole #4

263 Yards from White tees
319 Yards from Blue tees
333 Yards from Gold tees
Handicap - 8

The shortest par four on the east course and the second easiest hole is next to test your skill. A slight dogleg occurs just 75 yards from the slightly elevated green. A well placed drive down the middle is rewarded with a small opening between two gaping bunkers guarding the green. A shot slightly off center to the right will find the fairway bunker that parallels the entire length of the fairway. The large green is relatively level but getting the ball close to the cup is the challenge.

5 eastHole #5

450 Yards from White tees
533 Yards from Blue tees
566 Yards from Gold tees
Handicap - 1

The first par five on the east course provides several challenges for you. The left side of the fairway is bordered by trees from start to finishand Clifty Creek, the right side is well bordered with mounds all the way. Drives straight down the middle will reward you with birdie opportunities. The terraced green is large and slopes toward the front. Bunkers will catch approach shots to the right or left. The longest hole on the east course earns it's east course number 1 handicap status.

6 eastHole #6

99 Yards from White tees
150 Yards from Blue tees
160 Yards from Gold tees
Handicap - 9

The easiest hole by handicap status awaits you next. A par three that requires a well placed shot onto an elevated green completely surrounded by bunkers, five to be exact. If your drive lands on the green, you will find a bowled green that is much larger than it appeared from the tee. Club selection is critical and wind is always a factor.

7 eastHole #7

345 Yards from White tees
395 Yards from Blue tees
440 Yards from Gold tees
Handicap - 2

The longest par four on the east course, the seventh hole starts a three hole stetch that will challenge your game. It requires the longest carry over water at Otter Creek. Once over the lake, it then spans the entire length of the fairway ending at the edge of the green. The right side is guarded by the now familiar mounds. The two-tiered green slopes to the front left towards the lake. Is your sanity still in place?

8 eHole #8

435 Yards from White tees
480 Yards from Blue tees
510 Yards from Gold tees
Handicap - 4

The second par five on the east course provides the familiar surroundings of the original courses. Trees guard both sides of the fairway. From the landing zone, the fairway slopes downward toward Otter Creek, the last sign of water this side. Your third shot to the green will have to carry the creek and miss the bunkers and mounds surrounding it. The right side bunker complex is large and can erase a good scoring opportunity. The green is terraced and slopes to the front right. A great "Risk and Reward" hole; length is reachable in two shots.

9eHole #9

330 Yards from White tees
362 Yards from Blue tees
424 Yards from Gold tees
Handicap - 3

A formidable four par to end the east course demands both length and accuracy. A well placed fairway bunker guarding the dogleg and a set of bunkers guarding the green could destory any sanity you have left. The mounds spanning the left side ends as the fairway starts a gentle slope to the right. From the landing zone, your approach shot could find the cluster of trees to the left or the mounds to the right. The large green is terraced and slopes slightly to the front. A great finishing hole that deserves it's number three handicap ranking.
